Hope Healthcare Services
Hope Healthcare Services (Hope) provides low-cost medical, dental, and mental health services to anyone who lacks health insurance of any kind (no VA, Medicare, Medicaid, and neither private medical nor dental insurance of any kind.) Hope operates with both paid staff and volunteers. Doctors, dentists, nurse practitioners, nurses, dental hygienists, pharmacists, receptionists, and other professionals all donate their time at the clinic. In 2021, medical specialists donated their time in the areas of pediatrics, dermatology, gynecology, urology, physical therapy, nephrology, and chiropractic medicine. In addition, volunteers donate their time in the areas of fund raising, marketing, reception/clerical work, IT, and facility maintenance. Hope has nine paid staff (two full-time, seven part-time) that oversee and coordinate the work of nearly 100 volunteers.
Dental services include cleanings, extractions, crowns, fillings, dentures, and endodontic dentistry.
Hope has worked with area vendors to provide significant discounts (up to 90%) on labs, imaging, and sleep studies. These discounts saved patients an estimated $134K (in 2020) through discounted lab tests and radiology services. Prescription assistance and a medication sampling program have provided over $3.2 million in medication for patients since 2013.
Hope seeks to find those falling through the cracks in the healthcare system, and provide access to quality, compassionate and low-cost care.
